He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Irene "Granny" Wills Brookman and Hunter "Guinea" Brookman; his sister Bonnie Brookman Sutton; and his niece Beverly Sutton. He is survived by: his wife Judy Griggs Brookman; his children, Jared Wayland Brookman (Erica) of Wise, VA and Kayley Vann Brookman of Roanoke, VA; his grandsons, Carson Hunter Reid Vest and Jack Collins Brookman; his sister Betty Brookman Brown of Peterstown, WV; his niece Lori Ann Claytor Riddle (Audrey); his nephews, Richard Todd Sutton and Troy Sutton; and his cousins, Albert Kelly, Roy Dillon and Bruno Battaglia.
