We bid farewell to Martha Barger of Hardy, Virginia, born in Franklin, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 14, 2024 at the age of 98. Martha touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Lemon Horne and Lillie Mae Settles Horne; her husband Herman D. Barger; her granddaughter Charlotte Olson; and her siblings, Raymond Horn, Melvin Horne, Florence Mayhew and Elizabeth Wertz.
She is survived by: her son Crawford M. "Monte" Barger (Susan); her sisters, Louise Barton, Joyce Flowers, Estelle Perdue and Reba Donald; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Horn and Beverly Horne. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
