He is survived by: his wife Carol Mraz Simmons; his children, Dallas (Heather) and Lisa Whitfield; his grandchildren, Billy Whitfield, Grayson Simmons (Sydney), Matthew Whitfield, Katie Hipp (Exree) and Emily Foley (Nick); his siblings, Jean Moriarty and Garland Simmons (Carolyn); his brother-in-law Tommy Mraz (Diane); and his friend John Hale. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
