She is survived by: her children, Burnette, Brenda Smith of King William and Deacon Roger Thornton (Deaconess Vanessa) of Glen Allen; her grandchildren, Albert Smith (Wytina), Shirley Smith, Roger Tyler, Brittany Thornton (LaWanda) and Ruddy Branch; her great great grandchild Aneek Smith; and her siblings, Ophelia Thornton of Chesterfield and Douglas Thornton of King William. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
