She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Reach and Cleo Shelton Reach; her husband James Tulley Layman; and her siblings, James Edward Reach, Christine Reach Waldrop (Gene Paul Waldrop) and Harold Louie Reach.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas "Todd" Shelton Layman and J. Troy Layman (Jessica Layman); her stepson Michael Allen Layman (Leanne Layman); her grandchildren, Jacob Austin Layman, Kristin Nicole Layman and Jocelyn Sophia Layman; her stepgrandchildren, Kyle Thomas Layman and Kevin Michael Layman; her sister Anna Lou Reach; and her sibling-in-law Jessie McNamee Reach.
