“He was my first music professor at VCU back in 1975-- I recall sitting in the VCU coffee shop when he popped in, bought me a hot drink, and started discussing all sorts of interesting topics--all before our 8 am class! My fondest memories were in the electronic music lab, listening to all kinds of music in his office, and of course enjoying the Electronic Music Festivals he organized, including being introducing me to Morton Subotnick.
