He was predeceased by: his brothers, Curtis, Marvin and Shirley Nelson; his siblings-in-law, Avis, Ellen, Alice, Vella, Carl and Bruce; and his parents, William Nelson and Clara Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Myra; his children, Lindsay Jr., Justin (Shari), Devon Sr., Sly Johnson and Lashawn Coleman; his siblings, Deloris Boodie, Earnestine Johnson (Ronald), Pearl Thomas (James), Darlene Bolden, John (Marie) and Toney (Mona); his siblings-in-law, Daniel (Bonnie), Joseph, Kennedy and Dinah Allen; and his aunts, Doris Jackson of Richmond and Juanita Henderson of Montpelier. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
