He is survived by: his spouse Geanie Dettmer; his children, Kenneth Updike, Jr. and Tiffany Heese (Major Paul Heese); his stepdaughter Nichole Small (Jeremy Small); his grandchildren, Joseph, Alexander, Camille Heese, Jeremiah and Jade Small; his sister Carole James; his nephews, Matthew, Mickey and Jesse; his great-nephews, Hunter and Fisher; and his pet Maisy.
