He was predeceased by: his son Clarence Brooks (Thelma Brooks). He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Royston (Johnny) and Jesse Brooks Jr. (late Joyce); and his grandchildren, Johnny Royston Jr., Dante Brooks Sr. and Jesse Brooks III. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
