He is survived by: his wife Sylvia May Johnson Wickham; and his children, James Spencer Wickham, Jr. (Melodie), Merrie W. Cosby (Erich), Carol W. Adams (John), Robin W. Bass (Kevin) and Ann Michelle Bailey (Michael). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
