He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Brown, Sr. and Lila B. Brown; his wife Mildred B. Brown; his son James Lee; and his siblings, Pete, Robert, Francis and Grace.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Altizer (Troy); his sister Dorothea Baker; his granddaughters, Anna (Klint) and Mary (Caleb); and his great grandchild Kemuel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sweethaven Baptist Church (5000 W Norfolk Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23703).
