With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Gilman Lutz (Hanover, Virginia), who passed away on August 7, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Franklin and Ella Jones Gilman of Hanover; her husband George F. Lutz; and her siblings, Lemuel Franklin Gilman, Jr., Edith G. Cannon, Sue G. Miltz, Alice G. Meredith, Elsie G. LaFon, Lucy G. Lignian and Lula G. Bowles.
She is survived by: her sons, William "Bill" Lutz (Mary) of Glen Allen and Dennis Lutz (Nancy) of Williamsburg; and her grandchildren, Kimberly Gibson of Henrico, Sheryl Sylvia (Ray) of Glen Allen, Bryan Lutz (Ashley) of Purcellville, Andy Lutz (Jill) of Richmond and Catherine Medlin (John) of Greensboro, N. C.. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church.
