He was predeceased by: his wife Bessie Adams Brown; his children, Curtis W "Billy" Brown and Linda Faye Armstrong; his stepdaughters, Doris A. Thomas and Iris A. Moore; and his siblings, William C. Brown and Dorothy B. Jenkins.
He is survived by: his daughter Bonnie Brown Carroll (Marvin); and his stepdaughter Marion A. Comer. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; as well as numerous great grandchildren.
