It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Lee Edwards Sr. (Hampton, Virginia), who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey F. Edwards Sr. and Ailver G. Edwards; his wife Barbara M. Edwards; his daughter Marcia Kay Bailey; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Edwards, Aubrey "June" Edwards and Lillian Lipford.
He is survived by: his children, Willie L. Edwards, Jr. (Gabby) of Woodbridge, VA., Carolyn Edwards of Chicago, IL. and Sandra J. Donaldson of Houston, TX.; his siblings, Herman Edwards of Akron, OH., Yvonne Johnson and Catherine Hobson of Chicago, IL.; and his grandsons, William Donaldson and Eric Bailey II. He is also survived by other relatives, church family and very close friends.
Viewing will take place on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm at: Ronald C. Perkins Funeral Home, 251 W Queen St. Hampton, VA 23669 *Guests are required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at the funeral home. The graveside service will be privately held at Hampton Memorial Gardens 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666 on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 12:00 pm.
