With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Barnes of Hampton, Virginia, who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bosie Barnes and Mable Hassell Barnes; and his brothers, Melvin Barnes and Ernest Watts. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Barnes of Hampton; his children, Raheen Norman (Tameka) of Greenville and Tisha McCormick of Hampton, Virginia; his grandchildren, Memuri Domingue, Markel Domingue and Darren Norman; and his siblings, Rev. Robert Watts (Ada) of Roper, Dr. Ernestine Gee of Staten Island, Marvin Watts of Hampton, Virginia, Melvine Moore of Florida, Marvel Barnes of Plymouth and Alice Clagon (Bobby) of Plymouth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home (4304 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
