Whitmore Leonard Dameron III Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of a beloved Hampton Roads Radio Personality Dan Reese (Whitmore Leonard Dameron III) of Hampton, Virginia, born in Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 68, following a brief battle with cancer. Dan's voice resonated across the airwaves, touching countless lives during his tenure at Keys Country, WKEZ 94.1 in Yorktown, VA from 1983 to 1988 and WWDE in Norfolk, VA from 1992 to 2013.
Dan leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. He is survived by his brother, Donald Fail of Newport News, VA, and sister Sue Rhodes of Hampton, VA. He also leaves behind his loving daughters, Candace MacRunnel of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Laura Dowson of Norfolk, VA, and Allison Rossi of Yorktown, VA, as well as 12 cherished grandchildren.
