He is survived by: his wife Mary Haughey; his father Kenneth Haughey; his stepmother Jackie Haughey; his mother Ann Burmeister; his stepfather Don Burmeister; his siblings, Nicole Haughey, Hope Sellers and Christian Burmeister; and his stepgrandmother Jan Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
