He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Shorty" Stowell and Frances Stowell; his sister Frances "Sissy" Henley (Cynthia "Cindy" Ann); and his pets, Cora "BooBoo" and Izzy.

He is survived by: his siblings, Buzzy (Desie Stowell), Bea (Bobby Green), Bessie (Mike Gaither) and Maggie Marple; his daughters, Summer, Chris Magee and Stacy Stowell; and his grandchildren, Tessa Stowell, Easton and Mason Magee.
