She was predeceased by: her parents, James Leroy Effler and Bertha Gertrude Allison Effler; her husband Fred James Vernon; and her nephews, Kenny Effler and Robert Shelton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle A. Slabinksi (Joe) and Monique C. Vandegrift (David); her grandchildren, Nicole, Kirsten and Zachary; her great grandchild Derrick; her siblings, Earline Shelton Jenkins (John), Howard Effler (Deanie) and Don Effler (Jan); her nephew Dwayne Effler (Leslie); and her nieces, Rhonda Moore (Mike) and Donita Plemmons (Jeff).
