He was predeceased by: his son Phillip "Gene" Hayes; his parents, William Hayes and Annie Hayes; and his brother Jimmy Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his sons, Danny (Tanya) and William (Marybeth); his grandchild Ashley Hayes; and his close friends, Janene Purvis and Danny Ratcliff.
