She was predeceased by: her husband Clinton A. Townsend; her son Larry C. Townsend; and her close friend George "Jack" Franzen. She is survived by: her children, Thomas H. Townsend (Melody), Frederick A. Townsend (Teri) and Linda T. Prinkki. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home (2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666).
