She was predeceased by: her parents, Prince Alfred Sealey and Beatrice Parris; her former husband Marcus Hinkson; her husband Leon E. Simmonds; and her daughter Shirley E. Hinkson.
She is survived by: her daughter Monica Mottley (Gilberto); her grandchildren, Darrell Mottley (Tanya), Ray Mottley (Lasonja), Shawn Mottley (Linda) and Craig Mottley (Kim Chapman); her great grandchildren, Carolyn Jones (Ryan), Clayton Mottley, Ryan Mottley (Kathryn), Lauren Mottley (Tyler Knickerbocker) and David Mottley; and her great great grandchildren, Arthur Jones, Riley Mottley and Kaiden Mottley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church (1242 W Queen St, Hampton, VA 23669). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
