She is survived by: her husband William Raleigh Askew; her children, Debbie Pierce (Randy) of Ahoskie, NC, Tim Askew of Newport News, VA, Kesha Thomas of Newport News, VA, Shelvon Askew (Tamika) of Newport News, VA, Sherri Askew of Hampton, VA and Latina Gayhead (Timothy) of Newport News, VA; her sisters, Celia Dixon of Hampton, VA, Edith Melton of Hampton, VA and Clarice West of Portsmouth; and her close friend Pat Harrison of Newport News, VA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
