He was predeceased by: his parents, Janie Ward and William Ward; his siblings, Cartier, John, Lemuel, Oscar, Percy, Mary and Mae; and his granddaughter Olivia Potter.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; and his children, Darlene Leeson (Jackie), Tina Potter (Ricky), Marion Grubb (Tom) and Wesley Ward (Angel). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
