She is survived by: her brother Paul Gothard Jr.; her stepson Donald Smith; her children, Rev James A Womack, MD, Dr. Barbara R Womack (Jon Alesso) and William M Womack Jr. (Lisa Brooks); her stepchildren, Gerod Smith, Gary Smith (Joseph) and Anita Howard (Barry); her grandchildren, Brandi R Womack, Ashley R Womack and Brandon R Womack; her nieces, Madeline Hassell, Lillian Bryant and Crystal Gothard; her nephew Christopher Gothard; and her cousins, Don Gothard (Doris) and Wanda Stinson.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home (4304 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Hampton (229 N King St, Hampton, VA 23669). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (19975 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48203).
