She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood G. Jones and Laura Jones (Taylor); her husband George R. Wesley; and her grandson David Slater. She is survived by: her brother Linwood (Junie); her children, Demetria Wesley, Deborah Alexander (late Bill), George Wesley (late Sue), Linwood Wesley (Jena), Darrell Wesley (Cathy) and Donald Wesley (Lishelle); her grandchildren, Monica Sims, Jason Lowe, Brandon Wesley, Amber Darden, Patrice Matthews, Destarte Bonds and Laurie Underwood; and her uncle Robert Taylor. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her resilience and perseverance were trademarks during her life and became even more evident as she fought Covid vigorously and bravely.
