With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Walden of Hampton, Virginia, born in Farmville, Virginia, who passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Redd and Bettie Foster Redd; her husband James Edward Kenneth Walden; and her daughter Valerie Maria Walden. She is survived by: her daughter Denise R. Walden; and her nieces and nephews, Thelma Roach Serry (Henry), Erle Stanley Roach (Pearl), Lorraine Scott Ward (Walter), Hampton Scott, Jr. (Shirley), Gertrude Davidson, Marion Gordon (Prince) and John D. Redd (Flora). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Providence Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.
