With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary E. Kazarnowicz of Hampton, Virginia, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on August 9, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred D. Maddix, Sr. and Amanda Edna Binion Maddix; and her siblings, Tewatha Colley (Tommie), Hazel Topping, Geneva Christine Forrest (Tinie), Laura Haupt, Julius Clifford Maddix, Fred Maddix Jr. (Buddy-Screek), William Maddix (Bill) and James Maddix (Jack).
She is survived by: her son Donald Eways (Rachel); her granddaughter Dawn Smith (Gary); her great grandchildren, Connor and Cameron; her caregivers, Tish Smith, Sender Morgan, Cindy Link, Jeanette Brown, Sharon West, Netta Foreman and Je'Licia Hardison; and also, Steve, Wendy, Jerry and Gladys. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of their choice.
