With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Dame Broad of Hampton, Virginia, born in Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on February 9, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Landon Stubbs and Mary Hunter Stubbs; her husband Douglas C. Broad; and her sister Anne Fitzsimmons. She is survived by: her children, Doug Broad, Jr. (Beverly) of Rocky Mt and Susan Cofer (Bill) of Virginia Beach; her grandchildren, Douglas Broad (Candi), Rachel Broad Mayer (Andrew) and Landon Cofer (Tori); her great grandchildren, Zoe, Finn Broad and Tenley Cofer; and her brother-in-law Bud Fitzsimmons. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to either a charity of your choice or the Garden Club of Virginia.
