He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Petteway and Rosa Lee Petteway; and his brothers, Louis Sylvester Petteway and Thomas Leon Petteway. He is survived by: his sister Evelyn Delois Smith (Petteway) of Nokesville, VA; his nieces, Tracey Johnson (Mark), Tracy Hundley (Kenny), Anita Allen and Bianca Petteway; and his aunt Lucille Petteway.
