She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gerald Gates and Edna Beasley; her brother Edward Gates; her grandson Nicholas Ryan Dawson Chagaris; her children, John Dawson IV (Vicki) and Wendy Dawson; her grandchildren, Ariel Cook (David), Richie Barry and Skylar Dawson; her sisters, Shirley O'Neil (Tom), Joan Pooley (Gene), Marjorie Burnap, Lois Wright, Joyce Arrington (Elliott) and Barbara Kilpatrick (Stanley); and her great grandchild Stella.
