We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2021, at the age of 72, Marian Juanita B. Lassiter of Hampton, Virginia, born in Newport News, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Batts and Norlean Batts; her husband James H. Lassiter; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Lassiter, Elizabeth Lassiter, Bernice Lassiter, Teddy Lassiter and Idell Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Jamar H. Lassiter (Jennifer) of Newport News, VA and Tyrus J. Lassiter (Shelly) of Frederick, MD.; her sister Gloria J. Turner of Hampton, VA.; her grandchildren, Saige Lassiter, Talen Lassiter, Jurnee Lassiter, Jennison Tay and Justice Taylor; and her goddaughters, Evonne Tillery of Scotland Neck, NC and Davita Tynes of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by her dad, "Nanna" by her grandchildren.
