It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcellus Lewis Dancy in Hampton, Virginia, born in Smithfield, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Alexander Lewis Dancy; and his siblings, Bernard Roosevelt Dancy, Marvin Dancy, Bertha Dancy Hayes and Alexis Jean Spencer.

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Dancy of Yorktown; his children, Robyn, Martita, Marcellus III, Jason and Faith; and his brother-in-law Napoleon Hayes. He is also survived by grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
