She is survived by: her siblings, Virgil Newkirk, Jr. (Mary) of Maryland, Bryan Newkirk (Maudie) of Texas, Alyosha Newkirk of Hampton, Mark Newkirk (Michelle) of Newport News, Sonya Henderson (Steve) of Suffolk and Tonya Murphy (Alexander) of Newport News; her mother-in-law Shirley Harris of Norfolk; and her siblings-in-law, James Harris (Evelyn) of Hampton, Shirline Hayes (Major) and Angela Harris of Norfolk.
