She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jeff Edwards and Belle Fortune Edwards; her spouse Arvo Luoma; and her children, Byron (Annette), Ruth (Bill), Kathryn (Dave), Matthew (Sandi), Valerie (Michael) and Benjamin. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren.
