It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Bowen of Hampton, Virginia, who passed away on April 3, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allison Bowen and Susie Bowen (Hatcher); his wife Lillie A. Bowen; his son Leonard C. Bowen; his son-in-law James R. Carter III; and his sisters, Geraldine Webb, Marilyn Johnson and Jeannie Hall.
He is survived by: his brothers, Wilbert and Louis Bowen; his daughter Anna Carter of Atlanta, GA.; and his great grandchildren, Ricky, Rashawn, Shovonte', Rakim, Crista, Christopher Jr. and Venus.
