He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius John Pleasants, Sr. and Lottie Mae Walker Pleasants; and his brother James Richard Pleasants. He is survived by: his wife Lucille Alston Pleasants of Hampton, VA; his daughters, Synitta Monique Marrow of Charlotte, NC and Veronica Denise Pleasants of Hampton, VA; and his grandchild Jaiylen Rahsaan Marrow of Charlotte, NC..

The family asked that everyone in attendance at the viewing and funeral service wear mask.
