He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Ruffin and Rosebel Butler (Basden); and his siblings, David Butler and Jane Branch. He is survived by: his wife Alice W. Butler; his daughters, Angie Farmer (Steve) and Jodi Funkhouser (Eric); his grandchildren, James Funkhouser (Alisha), Steven Farmer (Casey), Ellen Owens (Alex) and Chad Funkhouser; his great grandchildren, Kylee Harrison, Cora Funkhouser, Lilly Funkhouser, Ashby Owens and Basden Owens; and his brother-in-law Kenny Branch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
