He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hecht and Phyllis Hecht; his wife Harriet Hecht; his son William; his sister Millicent Hair; his stepmother Kay Hecht; his stepbrother Kurt Hecht; and his grandson Matthew Hecht.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Barbara Hecht) and Mark (Bonnie Hecht). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
