Joniyah Temple Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joniyah Temple (Hampton, Virginia), who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 21. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joniyah departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joniyah may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joniyah leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her mother Mileca M. Temple; her grandparents, Thomas H. Chen, Howard T. Lord and Liza Temple; and her uncle Paris Howard.
She is survived by: her father John P. Chen; her sons, Jaylin Damere Horne Jr. and Jakobe Temple Horne; her brothers, Jonathan Chen Dylan Chen and Jaelin Temple Osburn; and her grandmother Jacqueline Lord Hoffner. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ (242 W Queen St, Hampton, VA 23669).
