He is survived by: his wife Joan Newman Hanchey; his sister Robin Blake of Hampton; his sister-in-law Audrey Newman Dalli of Shrewsbury, MA; his son Christopher Hanchey; his stepchildren, Courtney Thomas of Hampton, Lloyd Thomas Jr. of Virginia Beach and Erin Hicks of Anderson, SC; his grandson Wyland Hanchey; and his friends, Timmy Rose, Jimmy Newman, Mack Eborn, Al Rubinstein, George Palko and Kenny Rae Cantrell. He is also survived by his family and friends.
