With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Gunter of Hampton, Virginia, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on November 16, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Gunter and Scelester Gunter; his wife Mary Gunter; and his daughter Brenda Gilliam-Peele. He is survived by: his children, Belinda Gunter-Hart, Tonja Gunter-Futrell (Michael), Joyce Knox (Bobby), Jessie Gunter, Joseph Gilliam (Donna), William Gilliam and Marvin Gilliam. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, one brother, one aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
