It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Rose Cassat of Hampton, Virginia, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas McBrayer and Cora McBrayer; and her siblings, Joseph McBrayer and Linda Tettleton. She is survived by: her husband Richard Earl Cassat; her daughters, Angela Cassat of Saluda, VA and Cindy Cassat Wakefield (Jamie) of Chesapeake, VA.; her siblings, Freda Lucy and Hoyt McBrayer; her grandchildren, Colby Corbett and Hope Wakefield; and her godson Joseph Carr. She is also survived by loving friends and former coworkers.
