She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Benton and Elsie Benton; and her brother Kenneth Benton. She is survived by: her husband Reggie Hughes; her children, Thomas Hughes (Anne), Timothy Hughes (Ressie) and Carolyn Sawyer (Tom); her grandchildren, Ava Nicole Hughes, Thomas Paul Sawyer, Jr. (Vanessa), Olivia Sawyer, Brittany Terry (Josh), Allison Lockhart (Chris), Eleanor Sawyer, Melissa Hughes, Hannah Hughes, Joey Hughes and Abigail Rodriguez (Lazaro); and her sister-in-law Jean Benton. She is also survived by four great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons.
