It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janett Irene Burton (Hampton, Virginia), who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Helen Metz Soeken and Norman Soeken; her sister Norma Soeken Menke; her husband James Burton; her sister Patricia Duncan; her children, James Jr. (Linda-Marie), Timothy Edward (Catherine) and Cora Ann (Dale); and her grandchildren, Timothy Jr., Tabatha, Christina, Carla, Preston, Aubry, Tina and Stephan.

Memorial donations may be made to the Resurrection Lutheran School in Newport News, Va.
