He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew James Sorrell and Octavia Cox; and his siblings, Willie Sorrell, John Sorrell, Lucy Franklin and Alice Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Angela; his children, Angelo (Shante) of Hampton and Jaimi of Westville, NJ; his stepson Kurtis of Hampton; his granddaughters, Anila and Seniyah Sorrell; his siblings, Mary Kenton of Houston, TX, Lorraine Pruett of Vacaville, CA, Helen Payton, Alberta McDowney, Dorothy Toliver, Mary Ross, Patricia Kellibrew and Lewis Sorrell; and his sister-in-law Naomi Sorrell (Marion Sorrell). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
