He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnell Thornton and Barbara Hurdle Thornton; and his son Isaiah Perry. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Perry Hurdle; his children, James Hurdle, Jr., Jeremiah Perry, Timothy Edwards, Sierra Hurdle, Kenisha Battle (Dadrian), Lastardea Hassell and Carletta Edwards; and his siblings, Blanche Rawls (Rod), Valerie King, Donesia Adams, Barbara Scott (Marvin) and Raleigh Perry. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
