He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Thomas and Pearl Alice Thomas; his wife Willie Mae; his sisters, Clara Harris (Melvin) and Ruth Wilson; his children, Angela (Vernon), Anita (Joseph) and Michael; his grandchildren, Jessica, Erica and Michael Jr.; and his great grandchild Michael Rather Jr..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willie Mae Thomas.
