Irene Theresa Schneider Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Snyder and Mildred Snyder; her sisters, Mildred Ferrara and Charlotte Peterson (John); her sons, Matthew McQuade (Cathy), John J. McQuade (Karen) and Whitmer Marshall; and her sister Whitmer (Morris).
She is survived by: her former husband Col. John P. McQuade; her children, Diane Slate (Arch) and Michael McQuade; her spouse Whitmer Marshall; her children, Brenda Parsons, Sherry Ambrose, Stephen Marshall and Angie Brown; her grandchildren, Eric Slate, Corey Slate, Allison Decker (Patrick) and Shannon Campbell (Chad); her great grandchildren, Quinn and River; her grandchildren, Patrick McQuade, Austin McQuade, Zoe McQuade and Andrew McQuade (Mary); and her great grandchildren, Chase, Dayton and Liam. She is also survived by 11 step grandchildren, and 18 step great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the John J. McQuade scholarship fund at Christopher Newport University that was set up by Morris and Irene.
