He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Essie Mae Joyner; his siblings, Annie Morse Joyner, Dorothy Futrell, Esther Mae Joyner and Jamie Joyner; and his brothers-in-law, Alexander Hundley and Earl Futrell.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Hundley; his daughters, Tamala (Tammy) of Hampton and Tonya Joyner of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Denzel, Raynard Giles (Ja'Lese) of Hampton, Laurynn and Chandler Rance of Charlotte; his great grandchildren, Maleah, Ethan and Andrew Giles of Hampton, Virginia; and his sister-in-law Lottie Cooper of Lawrenceville. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
